Quant à moi qui n'étais plus montée sur des skis depuis 30 ans (et mes souvenirs n'étaient pas brillants...), tu as, en 2 heures de cours, réussi à me redonner confiance, à me transmettre les bases techniques indispensables et à me donner envie de me remmettre à skier! BRAVO et MERCI Lynne Melia 11/03/2008 Hi Christophe/Jerry. Had 1 private lesson for two hours 3rd March 2008.....WOW!! I had been skiing for years and then had a bad accident blah blah blah!! No confidence rubbish skiing, Left leg didn't want to carve.. Jerry you sorted the lot thank you so much. Left leg still dodgy but that is a lifetime of bad habits and was 200% better after the lesson. Confidence restored and my hubby Kev can't beleieve that I didn't have one day after the lesson where I moaned that I couldn't get down this slope or that one because it was too icy etc. He sends his thanks as well. Hope your keeping well, wish I was still in La Plagne and the next time I am there will definately repeat the lesson and perhaps have one or two more!!!! It was our first time ski-ing and our parents were very proud that we ended up using the nursery slope lift ourselves by the end of the week. Thierry was an extremely patient and kind teacher which allowed me to gain confidence. I learnt a lot and my skiing improved dramatically. This meant that I could really enjoy my holiday and experience all sorts of runs down the mountain. I will recommend you to everyone. Have a good season and see you next year. Gail Cary 02/02/2008 Thank you Christophe for making my skiing holiday the best one ever. After not skiing for five years, and just about managing the blues you'll be proud to hear that I skiied four different reds on my last day on my own! The quality of tuition was superb, and Christophe is one of the few people who can "shout" at you nicely and make you smile, and it works. I can still hear "get down, stand up!" and I'm now a much better skier thanks to Christophes infinate patience and teaching skills. If you are after the highest quality tuition in La Plagne, then don't waste your time looking elsewhere, I'll be back to hit my first black runs next year!! We have had 3 ski instructors in other resorts some of whom we thought were good at the time but nothing compared to Christophe, we cannot recommend him highly enough. As well as being technically proficient he is very patient and instilled badly needed confidence in our abilities. We shall certainly book lessons with him next time we are in La Plagne. Very friendly and understanding of our ability and he achieved his goal of getting me to parallel ski in one afternoon lesson. Christophe is also a great person,he even gave us a lift back to our chalet when he spotted us at the Bus Stop.Don't hesitate to book lessons with these guys you won't regret it. Christophe has a wonderful ability to instill or should that be 're'instill confidence after a year away from the slopes. A huge thank you to Christophe, for being absolutely brilliant with Tom (aged 5) and Emma (3). See you soon Jill & Ian Wright 03/01/2008 We have just returned from La Plagne for a Christmas week spent skiing.We had a wondeful time but much of the enjoyment was due to our lessons with Thierry, the first day, and then the rest of the week with Christophe. We are an `older` couple - with grandchildren learning in ski school. We had very little skiing experience but Christophe taught us so much and Ian is now quite fast - with style - and Jill has much more confidence and we feel we have improved which we could not have done without his excellent teaching. This was enough to turn 4 'rookies' into confident and (dare we boast) competent skiers. The kids are getting scarily good, having skied with Thierry and Phillipe again. Our 8 year old is now more competent than my wife (not me ofcourse, teehee). As ever, Christophe was in high demand from the female members of our private group, and yet again he managed to progress our skiing, whilst we had a fantastic time in the amazing weather in March. We had a lot of snow during the week - Christophe was superb in knowing the best places to ski in order to make the most of the conditions & also in pushing Penny and me just the right amount so that we both progressed and enjoyed our week. We had a wonderful time with a wonderful teacher. Thierry gave us astounding confidence with his great knowledge of the piste. We also had our first holdiday when we went properly off-piste. Phillippe took the 4 children in our group and they loved it... he made the skiing such fun that they couldn't wait to go each day. I had lessons with Christophe,and being a slightly nervous skier to say the least, I found his teaching method excellent and very suited to everyones individual needs. I would not hesitate to recommend reflexski school to anyone going to la plagne! Bob Townsend 08/02/2007 Excellent level of instruction. I have been skiing for about 20 years however have had only a few number of lessons during this time so I decided to book up with Christoff to brush up and work on my technique - I was lucky enough to get an instructor by the name of Claude. Just goes to show how wrong first impressions can be, as Claude is not the youngest or most athletic looking amongst the team. Claude is a fine and extremely experienced instructor and taught me a great deal in just 2 lessons. La Plagne is not the most challenging resort but I would consider returning to benefit from more instruction with Claude - Highly recommended, a great school. Jemma & Lucy 01/02/2007 If it wasn't for the lessons we had with Christophe last week we would no doubt have spent the whole week at the bottom of the mountain!!! He was so patient with us, and really boosted our confidence on the slopes - so much so that we ended up going all the way to Les Arcs and back at the end of our holiday! He was extremely patient and took 4 complete idiots, who couldnt even stand in skis on day one, to being able to negotiate any blue run with some degree of decorum by the end of the week. My wife and I had not skied for 20 yrs and our children aged 12 and 14 had never skied before. Within two or three hours under Thierry's instuction I had regained most of my old form and the children were skiing with style and confidence. The four lessons that we had with Thierry were not only great fun but pushed us all just the right amount. I couldn't believe the progress that we, and especially the children made in just 4 lessons. She said she wasn't learning anything and only doing "fun stuff" but by the end of the week was skiing black runs and doing tricks that we were afraid to watch. The experience of a week away in the snowy mountains is something that should be enjoyed and appreciated, every single day our two boys woke up pestering us to when Stacey (excellent Ski Beat Nanny) would be coming to take them to their lesson. Its great to see your kids grow and learn new things for this I must applaud Christophe, Benji and the other Reflex instructors as they all were helpful, friendly and a little cooler than dad. I am sure the boys won’t forget Benji in a hurry. The 4 in our group were delighted we opted for the Reflex private lesson package rather than ski school. As an added bonus it was cheaper! Am looking forward to next year and tackling that "Real" La Plagne black run, remembering to ignore the scenery and get off the drag lift and most importantly getting all weight on that down-hill ski. Watching the ESF snake past with most of the children so far from the instructor that they could not have a chance to learn made us pleased to have spent a little more but get much much more from the experience. Le jour où on a eu cours ensemble, il neigeait et il y avait un brouillard de folie. Et ça a été la meilleure journée de ski que j'aie jms eue. We'll have to return to La Plagne just for Reflex! Marisa, Dave, Alison, James & co. 25/02/2004 Just come back from a fabulous week skiing in la Plagne - missing the sun, snow and 'vin chaud' already! While we were there we arranged private tuition with 'Reflex' & Christophe was extremely helpful in creating a program for us to suit our needs, including video analysis. We all felt our confidence and technique had significantly improved by the end of the week, which was undoubtedly down to the expert guidance of our instructor, Bebert - a champion skier - although he needs to practise his double-back flip! The skiing lessons were brilliant fun & we definitely plan to come back soon. christina yianni 24/02/2004 I can't say enough good things about Christophe and his style of teaching. He is always friendly, upbeat and encouraging. He is very skilled and very good at passing on his abilities,even to total beginers like myself. His teaching manner is affable and easy going and the ladies in particular will succumb to his charms. ;) By the end of the week I was actually skiing quite confidently! To top it all he invited our small group out for a free lesson on the more tricky slopes on our last day to make sure we wouldnt kill ourselves. Top Bloke,great instructor!
